Does anyone else here have signal issues? I know we have AT&T, less bars in more places *lol*, but I have 6 towers in my area and cant get signal hardly for anything inside the house!

You said it. Less bars in more places...lol.

You can be right across the street from a tower and still have signal issues if the tower has too many people on it.

I just got the phone and noticed the same thing. Had my att bb with me and it had full bars to my 2 on the Atrix.

I am quite pleased with the signal capture quality. No problems and slightly better than my Inspire.

Signal seems to be better than my Inspire was (briefly lol) and it's pretty spot on with my wife's iPhone 4.

Nope, my BB definitely had better signal. Inside my building at work I have 1 bar if I'm lucky. I have to go outside to make a phone call. I complained before, but there were other folks who either said their signal quality was fine or that I shouldn't pay attention to the "bars." My signal strength when I'm holding the phone is around -111 dbm and when I set the phone down it's around -107 dbm.

I also get bad signal even when I'm in the car going through different cities on the freeway. Data speed is much better with iphone and blackberry in those areas.

Havent noticed any poor signal issues. AT&Ts network is a huge step up compared to the way it used to be years ago.

i think we might have disussed this before...but did you ever swap out your sim card? i read some where the other day that at&t is having issues wth their new sim cards and have been advised to not give out the new ones.

that out of the way, have any of you tried to go and get a new sim? i've actually found that my signal has been better with this phone compared to my others (bberrys are the exception)

Hate to say but I think my iPhone 4 had more bars. Haven't noticed a problem making a call like my iPhone yet so who knows if indeed the signal strength is weaker.

Luckily today my roomate got one of the free 3G Microcell's from AT&T so all issues at home resolved now, lol

I have the "new" sim card that comes with the phone from AT&T, and I definitely have signal/connection issues as well. In one of my classes at campus, one of the walls is completely windows, and I'm pretty close to them, yet I have 0 signal 90% of the class time. The other 10% is when it goes up to 1 bar. Unfortunately, my blackberry bold 9000 used to have 2 bars lowest there. :\ In the exact same spot. So I know it's the phone. I'm putting up with it, but it does kind of suck...everything has a trade-off I suppose.
