I have a epic 4g that I just returned to stock sd700.0.55.ec05 with froyo eco5 the only problem is when I try to check for any updates profile prl firmware the network shuts down wifi 3g and 4g anyone one have a fix for this, thanks ahead of time.

This is normal and expected behavior.

As ratsttam mentioned this is known behavior that has gone all the way back to Eclair OS. Some phones have no problem updating, others do.. Its on Sprints end and not yours.
