Signal Strength

For people who have used LG devices, how has the signal strength been? I am considering picking up one a 5X to replace a moto droid maxx. I am normally in areas with solid 4G but sometimes I have go out in the middle of nowhere for work. The maxx has provided me with 3G every where I need to go for the most part, but its starting to slow down and the battery isn't what it used to be... to say the least.

I have the original Nexus 5 by LG, and what I noticed is that the signal bars often read on the low side, but the phone's reception remains decent. So be cautious in interpreting signal bar reports.

The only info that I can offer is that I've never noticed it one way or another. Nothing about my previous LG phones stands out about signal strength so I'm assuming it was good enough to where I wouldn't notice. I've owned the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and LG G4.
