signature required for delivery?

Does anybody know if preorder shipments will require a signature for delivery? I won't be home on Monday and I'm hoping they will just leave the package.

I believe I read on here somewhere yesterday that someone called Fedex and they said signature was not required.

No signature required and be advised that FedEx may just drop it on your porch and run so it's a good idea to be ready for it. If you aren't available it's probably best to have it held at a FedEx location.

I would leave a note for the driver asking to put in a safe area if you are not going to be home and don't live in a great neighborhood. I would leave a signature just in case. I have never known an order at least with Verizon not to require a signature. They require a signature even if it is an accessory order. It is actually for your protection as well as the shipper's. If you have a neighbor who will be home leave a note telling the driver to deliver there then. It is all up to you.

I tried to have it held and it said the package wasn't eligible. So I'm just hoping for the best. I live in a great neighborhood and have packages left all the time.
