Signed bootloader?

So, I just heard over at engadget.com (HTC Sensation looks to have signed bootloader, custom ROMs look to be bummed -- Engadget) that the Sensation may have the chance of having a signed bootloader. Well if this is true, it looks like I don't have to decide between the Sensation and the Galaxy S II.

Yup. HTC is going to be worse than Motorola. So if you care to 'hack' your phone, Samsung Sony Ericsson and depending on the carrier Motorola is a better choice. My next phone will be either a Samsung or Motorola.

I have been trying to decide between the Sensation and the Galaxy S2 and I think HTC just made my decision a bit easier.

The Sensation looks like it will be a great phone, but the locked bootloader kills it for me. I don't know why HTC is trying to pull a Motorola on us, but they have just made choosing my next phone a lot easier. I'll either be getting a Samsung of the next Nexus phone.

Keep in mind that it was cracked on the Thunderbolt. All is not lost. It's just a lot harder now.
