I guess I will have to go to the tmobile store. Got my phone late yesterday from ups, started to set it up and sim card tray will not pop open. My experience with these type trays have been super easy to open, like with my old HTC one m7. But I have tried 20+ times to get it open with the provided key. Anyone else having this issue?

I had the same struggle for more than a hour. But found a way out. Pressing very hard did not help! I found the solution when I saw an enlarged picture from an opened slid: There is a spring that you have to put towards the inside of the slide. This means while you pressing the pin with reasonable pressure down, wiggle a little bit allong the length of the phone. This helped me!

I just posted something similar in the Note 7 forum. Though with mine, the hole is barely there. I am having trouble just getting the tool to insert at all. But a needle seemed to open the hole a little so maybe I can try this. Thanks for the suggestion, anyway.

Same here with Galaxy 7. Going to Sprint tomorrow. Safety pin doesn't work and can't find the SD key (If I got one). Time is worth it. Good luck

Having the same problem with my S7 Edge, pushed so hard the key thing bent and the hole is scratched and marked.
Now store trying to say I've invalidated the warranty because I may have damaged the release mechanism myself by doing it wrong.
Said they will get their 'specialists' to look at it today (left phone in store) but if they have to break into it (due to the damage I have apparently caused) it will be a insurance job to replace the phone!
