Similar apps? Which to use?

Because I've only ever had a very basic smart phone, someone help me out! Sorry if I ramble.

S-note, ever note, and one note (maybe even action memo?)? They all seem the same? How do you decide witch to use? Or do you use more than one?
OneNote--because I actually have OneNote on my PC, but the sync keeps failing & I just really don't care that much. Anyone love it?
Evernote-- downloaded three times & unistalled it twice... I couldn't get it to delete my kids scribbles. Just didn't 'click' with it I guess.
S-note--so far seems more like what I want, but I cant find where it will writing>text... for like a journal entry?
Action Memo-- I have no problem finding the writing>text but i think these are like post it notes?


Google Now & S-voice? Do I pick one or are they really integrated together? I asked S-voice a question earlier and it opened google now? SO I had to ask again, but this time ask google. Seemed like twice the work? What did I do wrong.

Which browser do you prefer & why... It keeps asking me to use the "internet" or chrome to open things.

There also appear to be multiple stores... the amazon store, the play store, samsung apps.... Which store(s) do you use & why?

ETA: The scrapbook too. One Note is like that? So which one do I choose?!?! I'm overwhelmed with choices. :'(

The most intuitive app I've used has been the calendar. That is the best calendar I have ever had the privilege to have with me all day! I love the widgets with it too.

As far as a note-taking type program goes, I think a lot of the choice is personal preference. You may want to try out the various options available and see which one has the kind of features that best meet your needs. And you can certainly use multiple apps if you like one for some things, but another for other things. You might consider looking at Springpad and Google Keep in addition to things like Evernote, OneNote, ActionMemo, S-Note, etc. Personally, I prefer Springpad over Evernote, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who have the opposite opinion. (BTW, a big reason for my choice is that Springpad allows you to use stuff offline for free. Evernote didn't, it was a paid feature, at least when I was checking them out a while back on my previous phone.)

Google Now and S Voice do seem to be similar services. I'm not sure why S Voice would kick you over to Google Now. Maybe it had something to do with the particular question you asked or how you phrased it. You could test out both individually, giving them the same questions of the sort you'd usually ask, and see which one gives you better results, then stick with that.

Browser's personal preference, too. There are many others besides the pre-installed Internet and Chrome that you can get. I kind of like the default Internet one, but Chrome can be nice to have. If in playing around, I see one handles some sites better than others, I use it for that.

As for stores, I use the Google Play store almost exclusively. I have the Amazon store, but mainly just for the free app of the day, which I don't usually install. But I like getting free stuff. Samsung apps might be necessary for some of the apps Samsung pre-installed, especially if they're not on the Play store. As with the other things, there are probably some other stores out there, too, but the ones you noted are probably the main ones out there. And again, you can easily use multiple ones for different purposes.

I haven't tried the Scrapbook app at all, so I can't really comment on that. As for the calendar, the default one is probably good, but I use Jorte. It has a lot of features, massive amounts of widgets (almost every size from 1x1 to at least 5x5; I think there are even some 6x? and ?x6 ones in there), icons for events (handy to know what something is at a glance), and works pretty well though it could take a little effort to configure the way you like it.
