Simple root sd card permission issues

I'm currently rooted via Unrevoked 3, after I did the 6/29 OTA update. Im trying to re-root via simple root so I can unroot my phone via RUU, and according to plenty of people the only way for RUU to work is to re-root via simple root.

When I click root on simple root, it attempts to push mtd-end.img repeatedly to the sd card, but it keeps saying permission denied, and the rooting processes never works. Ive formatted my SD card to make sure nothing is wrong on that end. But ive had no luck.

Any ideas?, thanks.

thanks for the reply but those are all enabled. Ive really looked around and tried to figure out if its a simple issue.

Even last week when the leaked froyo came out, i put the zip file on my sd card and bootloader refused to install it from the sd card. Idk if its my sd card, but I tried another sd card and im still having permission issues, and I cant install any type of zip from my sd card. All I want to do is to simply go to stock android without root.

Can you put it there manually from the folder? Try to put the PC36IMG, mtd-eng, HBOOT, and I can't remember the last file it pushes...factory reset and move to step two.

thanks again for the reply,

Even when I put zip files on my sd card and try to manually install them from recovery it never is able to install any zip file, whether its the leaked froyo from last week (.3), any update zip, or any PC36IMG. Clockworkmod never can install anything from the sd card it starts to initaite the file then it just says unable to install and returns me to the recovery menu, like i mentioned i thought maybe my sd card is bad, so i formatted it, then i tried another sd card and formatted that one too. Also reset my phone completely, and made sure debugging is check and all that stuff.

Any ideas anyone?
