Simultaneous voice and data over 3g on AT&T?

I do't have an AT&T s5 but my company uses them for field users. They are reporting that when they are on 3g and get a phone call their data connection drops. Does AT&T not support simultaneous voice and data on 3g?

I haven't used AT&T in a while, but I remember that I could get calls AND data when on 3G. I'm sure the Mexican equivalent (same tech, same towers, same frequencies) does allow you to, so I don't see why AT&T wouldn't.
