Since 4.0.4 OTA: Only selected app have internet access

I am having a strange issue with my GSM Galaxy Nexus since the 4.0.4: OTA. Most apps I have installed won't connect to the internet when using the cellular radio (2G/3G) for instance Maps, Facebook, Google Finance, etc. Others work with no issues i.e. browser, mail, Weather widget.

They all work over Wi-Fi. After the update 4.0.2. -> 4.0.4 (IMM76I) I manually updated the TMO US APNs.

The device is unrooted and is on baseband I9250XXLA2. I am hoping this is just me being stupid. Any advice?

I would undo the APN change or do a factory reset.

Hmm. I don't know how - but it started working again. No specific reason, did not even reboot. Weird, specially since most apps were not working for weeks....
