Since April update I have duel data connection?

I noticed immediately since my last update asd7 on t mobile that my icon in the status bar shows both wifi and data.
By the time I go to sim card status, the icon obviously goes away and show the correct mobile status as disconneted.

That's normal. If wifi is there it is using WiFi. LTE is just staying active in the background for MMS and such.
