Since Google Play is gone what's a better alternative to YouTube Music

Since Google Play has switched thier music app to YouTube, it's been a nightmare!! I hate everything about YouTube music!! I'm looking for a great, (free), app to play my music. With options such as, genre, playlist, etc. Can someone recommend a very versatile, free, and great app for playing your own uploaded music to your phone???

Wasn't there a stock music player included on your phone when you got it? For example, on most Samsung phones there is an app called "Samsung Music".

I mean personally for me, I use Spotify just like a lot of other users use. I was using YouTube music, but I stopped it because hey it's pretty expensive but more so because the digital equalizer and the audio settings menu barely works at best. Was driving me nuts!

My latest issue with YouTube music is they replaced songs in my playlists with music videos, the music videos often have intros and additional dialog/audio not found in the track and makes listening all that much more annoying.

This is easily one of Google's biggest flops and it's become discouraging to purchase media from the Play Store going forward.
