Have you found a resolution to your problem? I am experiencing the same thing and found some fixes in the Nexus 5 forum but not sure if that applies to the S4. When I tried I got scared when it said that the Google Play Services was an active something and I stopped. Anyway, I am still have issues with the darn update and I wish I could revert it.
