Since the Lollipop Update my email cannot connect, how do I fix this?

Lollipop Update now email cannot connect

My email account will no longer connect after the Lollipop Update. I get a "cannot safely connect to server" error.

This account has been working fine with the previous Android updates for the last 2 years.

How do I fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? If you're using the stock Email app, try going to its settings and removing the email account. Then add it back again.
