Sirius/XM app update- FAIL

Anyone else having this problem?- Sirius/XM official app had a major upgrade this past week, and it starts up fine, runs for a while and stops; I then have to shut down the app and restart it, at which point it goes into checking for updates mode and stays there- forever!!!!
If I reboot the phone, it will start up again and the problem repeats.
If I force stop the app while it is in the endless update mode, and clear data, I need to re-sign in, and the same thing happens, i.e plays fine...stops....start...checking for updates endlessly- I pull out my hair....

All was working fine until the update- I'm going to uninstall and re-install, but I don't have high hopes-
Anyone having the same problem? Any fixes-?

Same problem over here. It would be nice if sirius put some time and money into the app considering thats how most of the listeners get the service.

I am also experiencing this. Very annoying. Cancelling Sirius, they cant seem to get this right. They constantly f-up the app for android and the iphone. Worthless.

The bad part is that when you call SiriusXm, they have no clue what we are talking about. (And that is when they are able to speak english.)They tell me to goto their site and download it from there. It does the same thing. I wish that I wasn't such a big Howard Stern fan.... But may just have to let Sirius go too. Way too many problems and besides, Stern isn't at work most of the time anyways.:-$

I've called Sirius several times since the new update. It's like they have no idea this is going on. There must be thousands of people with this same issue and they act like I'm the only one this is happening to. Telling me I need to update my phone, or reinstall the app (which I did numerous times with the same results). They said they would escalate my issue and have someone call me. It's been about a week now, no call. Had to put my subscription on hold until this is resolved. Can't stand missing Howard Stern, this sucks.

I just got off the phone with them for 2 issues. First issue if the always checking for updates. For me if I end the task and launch it again it works fine, but if i pause of close the app, I have to end the task. The other issue is listening to Howard, the audio streams keep jumping back and forth to other content.
So they told me both issues are because of the app, the engineers are working on an update. And they credited me with 1 month. For now that's acceptable. If it's not fixed within a month I'm dumping it. These issues are really really getting on my nerves.
