Anyone try the Sky Devices phones yet.

I just ordered a Sky Devices 5.5q with full return privileges and wonder if anyone has been brave enough to try one...
The specs read well for the money and their distributor is in the Miami area where I live.

8GB of ROM - available (not terrible for the price) or total (not much space for apps). And I doubt there'll be much support for it - it sounds like a "western" name for a Chinese manufacturer. If it ever sees Lollipop I'll be surprised.

It actually comes with Kit Kat 4.4 and if it works, rooting it along with an sd card would solve that problem.

I know this is about a month old. But I just recently purchased the Sky 5.5Q

The phone overall is decent, especially for the price point. Although I miss having Android 5+. And I am no where near able to do a generic upgrades (root, recovery, rom). I wish someone would.

It is definitely a Chinese brand. In fact, when comparing Sky with Blu and iDroid models, the specs appear identical. I figure they are just North American custom branded.

This is a step backwards for me. I am stepping down from Note 3. I could upgrade my phone this year, but I don't want to pay $700 or renew my contract.

We know what does have lollipop cuz I got a sky devices phone and it came with a lollipop so does have lollipop version of Android.
