Hey guys, I've had my epic for 4 days now from my launch day pre and I am loving it. I receny downloaded the skype app, but with no video support I chose to delete it. Now there is something called skypekit running in the background and it is murdering my battery life. I have no idea how to shut it down or delete it. When I look at my battery usage it shows that as the second highest killer, but gives me no choices to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

In order to close down an application, from the home screen:

Menu button > Settings > Applications > Running Services > Tap the service that you want to stop.

If it doesn't show up on that list or keeps restarting itself, I'm going to defer to someone with a better knowledge of what to do if an app leaves something like that in your phone.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't see anything from skype there. What is currently running is: iqagent service, sansservice, snsphotoservice, snsservice, androidsprint extension service, gtalkservice, cmservice, and swype

Nothing that I know of is in that list. The only one I know of that most close as a rule of thumb is the OmaDRMconfig that usually shows up on startup.
