Skyraider 2.5.2 in Rom Manager

This rom is smoking fast! It's available along with the new kernel. Just wanted to post this for the folks that didn't know.

How's the new kernel, is it just an update to the stock kernel?

I'm running the Hydra Overclocked Undervolted kernel, which doesn't seem to be giving me any problems.

so im at the rom manager and i see the skyraider 2.5.2 rom and kernels.
do i have to install the kernel first and then the rom? or is kernel even necessary?

It'll run fine without the kernel, and you could even flash a new kernel later as it won't wipe your phone. Just make sure your radio (menu>settings>About phone>Software information) is at least baseband 2.xx.

Well I flashed to 2.5.2 with the wrong radio band.. 1.x

Is there a way I can simply flash a newer radio onto the ROM or will I have to start from scratch.

Cool where would I be able to find a .zip that I'd need to do so? I've gathered that much, but don't know where to look, or if someone could link me to a fileshare site or some sort so I could just DL it. Is it going to wipe my phone back to factory? or just replace the current files?

The camcorder hasn't been broken since the 2.X radio came out last month.

With unrEVOked forever, you can flash a radio without having to go back to the stock ROM.

While I'm having no problems with the 2.15 radio, there are reports of some instability. Check out the xda thread.

Is there a zip around with the 1.x stock radio to flash to if need be for the froyo update coming up? And from what I understand if I have s-off its just as simple to downgrade radio as the upgrade process...

heck yes, i rooted this past weekend and am running this rom. Its awesome. I love wifi tether. Thats basically the only reason I rooted, the themes and roms are just a bonus. Thanks to everyone who helped me through the process.

im really liking this rom, so far the only bug i have found is the notification bar sometimes hang up when going to an sms message, ill click on it then itll go away and come right back(notification bar) then i have to close it and sometimes ill be at the top of the threaded message and have to scroll down... happens 1:20

im trying to run SetCPU so i can overclock... right now im running kernel version 2.6.32-Skyraider jabber@jabber-linux #2 . Do i need to run a hydra kernel to overclock? I assume i need to use the perflock disabler since it says most HTC devices need this but i get an error when i try to disable it. Im thinking the kernel im running is incompatible?

Can anyone shed some light into this? Thanks.

All I know about that is that Hydra suggests SetCPU doesn't play nice with his kernels.

Ahhhh... so what would be my options? Just use one of the overclocked kernels from the website and not worry about SetCPU?
