FYI, the Slate 8 Pro is a benchmark beast, has a decent screen (bright, and I like the aspect ratio) and is now rootable.
The development on the Nvidia Shield and Tegra Note 7 devices is remarkably transportable.
It's heavy, at around a pound. The speakers are OK, but nothing to write home about (on mine, anyhow)
But it's wicked fast. 16700-17300 on Quadrant, 3500+ on Geekbench.
