Where are the sleep and airplane modes on the tablet? When one holds down the power button the only option is to shut down (power off). My phone has multiple options including silent mode, airplane mode and sleep mode. I'd love to have those options on the tablet.

Airplane mode is in the settings, but I don't see a shortcut. Probably need a settings widget.

That's too bad. It is handy on my Droid Bionic to hold down the power button and have the options pop-up. Maybe that is a Motorola feature? If you know of a handy widget, let me know.

I'm new to tablets, so am still sorting through the appropriate apps. It would be nice if the Play Store would segregate tablet specific apps for easier searching. Apple does this and it's handy.

There wont be an airplane mode unless your tablet has 3G/4G in it.
Thanks. That is too bad because it is a handy feature on my Droid Bionic. The good news is that that Asus 300 starts up very quickly. So, it is not as big an issue as is my phone, which takes a long time to reboot.

If you are using Asus notification extensions, you can tap on that and then turn off WiFi and Bluetooth from there.

That works for airplane. I miss the sleep mode for airplane travel. On my phone it takes at least 5 minutes to reboot. The ASUS is much quicker. Of course it has fewer programs on it right now.

Hi,
If you holddown the on/off button it offers the choice of shutdown, sleep or airplane mode. This arrived with jb.

Regards mike

With JB it has airplane mode (yay!) but still no sleep mode. You can also set the wireless to turn off when you turn off the screen. This is a handy feature for saving power.
