Sleep as Android is back on the Samsung Gear Apps I have installed and I will test it tonight hopefully the battery drain problems have been fixed.
You can start and stop from Samsung Gear S2 or from your phone and it says that intergration with S-health is included.

I guess I will find out tomorrow and I will post my findings

Made my day yesterday when I just happened to see the add-on back up! Tested last night, and seems to work ok. Still used a lot of battery, but will fiddle with it tonight.

Okay tested Sleep as Android last night works as described about the app. I Started with 100% battery on the watch and left the settings as default and after 8 hours sleep there was 56% battery left, not ideal unless you charge the watch to 100% before going to bed.
I normally have around 60% battery left at the end of a typical day so I would have to charge before going to bed and charge again in the morning for the next days use.
Iintegrates with S-health with hours slept and a graph with deferent types of sleep, light sleep, deep sleep etc.

You may get better battery usage changing some of the settings I will play around with different settings over the next couple of nights and see if I can make a difference.

I have found the same. Haven't tweaked settings yet, but finding I'm OK with battery by charging to 100% before bed, then recharging after waking up.

Over the last couple of days I have been playing around with different settings but I didn't find a setting that made the battery consumption any better.

It is a promising app but at the moment not very practical.

I think it's very practical for me in my career. I'm a professional pilot with an ever changing schedule. This app has immediately helped me to recognize when and where I'm not sleeping well. Traveling produces many issues to rest and seeing where and when I have deficits has more visibly proved to be a very healthy addition to my life. And now? Back to bed to catch up after flying through the night.

I can see it in the Gear apps in Canada. I used it but it glitches out my watch so I removed it.

So... does anyone know what's going on with "sleep as android" supposedly being available through the Samsung gear manager apps? I'm looking at gear apps right now.... and it's not here. I looked yesterday and it wasn't here, the day before that, and the day before that... never here. Not through the search terms advised here to use, nor through narrowing down to the "health fitness" section, nor through methodically scouring the entire list of available gear apps. I'm in California. Is it only available in certain parts of the US? No parts of the US? My Gear Manager is updated, my gear s2 3g has the latest firmware, I'm on Marshmallow for HTC one M8, Verizon, but it's... not... here. Am I crazy?... Did they very recently they take it down again right before I looked?... Am I being gaslighted? lol - How has everyone managed to get "sleep as android" to make this recent appearance in gear apps in lieu of the mere digital tumbleweeds I'm getting with every attempted search method?

And considering how punch drunk loopy I'm getting about it, I clearly do need to improve the quality of rest I'm currently getting by using this sleep regulating app - haha

Would appreciate any light anyone could shed on this availability discrepancy. Thx ;)

Well, it is definitely available here in the US. I have the S2 Classic (BT version) and am able to see in the Gear Manager Store. Not using it but it is definitely there.

Well then... what the...?

Anyone know why one person in the US searches Gear Apps and *does* have it turn up in the results, and another person in the US (me, see attached pic) searches Gear Apps and *does NOT* have it turn up in the search results?

I guess that's now my specific question: why are two people in the US searching the same Gear Apps section, and still somehow *not* getting the same exact results? Can anyone figure out why this is?

Yes, I've often wondered what determines who gets access to what. I can get Sleep as Android for my wifi/bluetooth S2 classic and I'm in Vermont, USA, via my Note 4. Are there other folks who can't get it? Where are you? And what phone are you using?

Yes, it syncs with S Health. And for the record, I'm finding it uses up about 40% of my watch's battery. For me, that means I have to charge either before bed or after getting up.

So no one has any idea why there's an availability discrepancy with the Sleep As Android App showing as available in Gear Apps for some... and showing as unavailable in Gear Apps for others, huh?

Might it be based on whether or not one has the S2 3G vs. the S2 wifi? (I have the 3g, and can't get it... anyone else?)

Unfortunately my watch can only handle about 3-4 hours before it's completely dead. I've put it in airplane mode, turned off the wake gesture while sleeping, still completely kills the watch. I wish I knew what secret sauce is letting you make it through the night.

My watch was at 100% before bed, and was 68% upon waking almost 9 hours later. Averages about 35% usage each night with new SaA add on.
