Sleep mode "wakes" to Google Search

Setting up new Nexus 7 and everytime I press the button to "wake up" from sleep mode it opens to Google search screen instead of my home screen. I have to back out of the search screen twice to get to my home page. I've tried changing several setting to no avail.

Appreciate any help or ideas!

Feeling really dumb....I was swiping up instead of down...problem solved!
