Slide Lock App Issue

I just downloaded the Slide Lock app to me phone. As I was in the middle of one of the settings, my screen timed out as I was scrolling. I changed the setting to 1 min and it still times out really quick, almost like I have left the phone idle even though my finger is still touching the screen. Anybody else using the app know how to fix this issue?
