Slimport/HDMI no longer working.

Can anyone else with a G2 check and see if their SlimPort/hdmi cable is working? I used it several times earlier this year (before KitKat) and it worked fine. Last weekend I dusted off the 'ol projector and connected my phone to it... and nothing. Was this feature removed, or is my phone just being dumb?

I'd focus first on the cable, since cables can fail. Try another Slimport cable, if you can. Also, check the microUSB port on the phone and the HDMI port on the projector to make sure they're not clogged with debris or lint.

The projector and HDMI cable worked fine hooked up to my laptop. I suppose it could be the SlimPort adapter... there was at least a partial connection, the phone was getting power.

Oh well. My Note 5 gets here tomorrow anyways. lol.

I ran into precisely the same issue, also around Oct or Nov 2015, for my slimport/VGA adapter. The timing makes me suspect an Android upgrade for my phone (also a G2), although I can't say that I know that for sure. There seem to be other reports of this out there, so I'm not going to buy more slimport adapters just to try it out. Probably didn't get much notice because people are using Chromecast and/or upgrading their phones. My G2 will also get upgraded soon, so it's hardly worth fussing over. I did have an occasion to need it today though, which is how I came across your post.
