sling player help

I was just about to buy the app but I saw on the app something about the boxes sold separate so my question is can I just buy the app n be able to watch tv or do I need to buy something else after buying the app to be able to watch tv

You need a sling box connect to your cable/satellite box. Then you need the slingplayer app. Sling provides you with what ever you have at home on a pc and mobile device. This has discussed a lot. A simple search would have answered your question.
