I have a seasonal camp that I use thru out the summer. I have Directv at home. Directv was nice and offered to set up a dish and allow me to bring over my boxes so I could use it when I am at camp but due to the trees they wouldn't install it. It will cost me $27 a month for local channels only thru cable, not really worth it for the amount of time we are there. So I started looking at Slingbox but I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with.
I just don't want to waste the money or time if it isn't going to work. I am thinking I can use the evo in the bedroom and the laptop in the living room since we usually don't watch it that much anyways. Late nites and rainy days.
Hope someone can answer the questions.
- I share my internet at my house with my neighbor. Is streaming the slingbox going to kill his connection speed? It is Verizon DSL.
- Can I use the video out on my EVO and use the hdmi cable to connect to my hd tv in my camper?
- If I can't use my evo will it work with a wireless card and my laptop feeding my tv with an hdmi cable?
