Slow App Launch

I love this LG G3 phone and I am just wondering why app launch is very slow. I used Samsung Note 2 for more than 2 years and the response is very good even though it has lower processor than the G3. With Samsung N2, if I try to open/tap an app, it will launch right away. But with G3, you will have to wait for half to a second before it would open.

I never tried to use the phone when it was still using Kitkat as I upgraded it right away to Lollipop. Is this a normal behavior of G3?

Some G3s, at least, show a touch of lag. I can't recall now whether it was better, worse or the same on Kitkat....sorry. But you are not alone.

Thanks for the reply. I checked other articles and found this.

He mentioned there that he changed the runtime settings to use ART instead of Dalvik. Then changed several animation values to .5x.

However, I found out that Lollipop is already running ART so the runtime change is not present in the developer options. I however changed all animation settings to .5x and things are better. Not sure if this is just my imagination but it looks good now. Will observe in the next few days and see if things are way better than before.
