Slow Calendar Search

I've noticed that calendar searching seems to not be working. I have tried Vtap search which I really like but would prefer to use the stock calendar app if possible.
Has anyone else noticed any calendar search slowness. I do have quite a few events in my calendars so maybe that's the problem?

I sync 6 months but there's probably a lot of data there as it's my personal calendar plus many conference calls from my Exchange calendar.
