Slow charge?

Phone was on charge all night, and was 88% this morning. I saw the words "slow charge" on the status bar. What the heck is that, and how can i get rid of it? Thanks for any help.


Well, this is something else. My phone sent me a message on it's notifications screen, telling me that my charging cord was not working properly. Wow, even my Nexus 5 doesn't do that!!!

A faulty USB cable can certainly cause charging problems, as can a faulty wall charging plug and a faulty microUSB port. Try a different cable and/or wall charging plug first.
