Noticed the problem when using Gallery to delete video files from external SD card. So I tested deleting/moving big files within external SD card using ES file manager and Asus file manager and both are very slow. The larger the file the slower the speed. This does not happen on internal storage. But LG original file manager operates normally i.e. super fast as expected on internal and external storage.

Can anyone please help? thanks

Maybe it needs to be formatted. It could have some bad spots in it or something. I don't have this problem one my G4. Although I don't move big files around a lot on my phone either.

I have this problem as well, but I've always just lived with it... I figure that it's the nature of the beast. I have a very fast SD card, and I use Solid Explorer. (I load TV episodes onto my phone.)

I'm still using ES File Explorer despite the scary things I've read about it. My guess is a bad sd card. I'd copy the data to a PC or USB thumb drive, then format the sd using the phone, and copy back the data. Bad sd cards can mess up the entire phone btw.

Point taken - I'll work on that over the weekend.

The problem I have is slow speed will not be seen on LG installed file manager but on other popular file managers.

update: LG file manager is slow when deleting very large file 1+G but still faster than other file managers, maybe worth a try to format SD card?
