Never used it on an Xperia since, well, I've never owned one... But I had that feature on an old cordless home phone and what it does is just that... slows down the incoming audio. The side effect, of course, is that it creates a lag between the real 'end of the message' and the actual time you hear it. It's great when you have an answering machine that's reading out a contact number or you just want to hear information and give you time to write it down. But for a conversation, it might create an uncomfortable number of silences hehe.

Ah interesting! I have never heard of that kind of feature before. Do you know how long the delay is between when the actual person finishes his sentence and the time you actually hear it on the phone?

Oh, you're hearing it in real time... it's just slowing it down to about 2 thirds to a half speed. So if it took the other party to finish a sentence in 10 seconds, it might take you up to 15 to actually listen to the entire sentence... that leaves up to 5 seconds of you not saying anything and the other party just waiting for you to reply hehe. That's why it's most useful for automated messages that just speak too fast.

Yeah I use it sometimes. Sounds funny. I thought maybe the other person had something wrong with them when I forgot that I left the setting on

I need this feature but can't find it on my Samsung Galaxy Exhilerate. I think I've followed all the instructions I've seen but still can't find it.
