Slow Wifi?

Hey Guys I'm coming from a Nexus 1 and the browsing and data seems slow on my X. Even with Wifi enabled, it just doesnt seem like it pulls data too quick. Is this common or an issue with my device, do you think?

Example: Listening to wifi in my house to pandora, its actually skipping out.

I may have solved it. I have a netgear router that has some power save features for wireless devices. I disabled that and WMM quality of service stuff. Not sure if it was that or a memory manager program that I removed.
