Slow wifi

My G4 had been slow on wifi for the past month or so. A lot of times I will get a message that the page can't load, but then it usually loads eventually. Sometimes it seems fine and others it is a real pain. I have researched the problem, and tried resetting my home router( it does it on all wifi routers) tried forgetting connection and reloading it, and tried 5ghz and 2.4. None of it has seemed to help. It seems like a phone issue. I'm just checking for any suggestions anyone has before doing the good ole Fdr.

I've had this problem, as has my daughter with her G3. We are starting to think that the Wi-fi and cell connections are battling for control, because if we turn off cell data, the wi-fi will work more or less OK. Our laptops, other android devices and iphones in the house all connect without problem.

For us it's odd. Running a speedtest indicates that our internet connection is blazingly fast, while chrome will run slugglishly or fail. Facebook notifications will still sometimes arrive but the messages won't download. Certain apps just never seem to get any connection at all. It's like the phone has a firewall in it and is blocking certain data from getting through.

I haven't been able to find a cure, I will probably try to reset the phone this week, and see if that helps. I didn't have this problem until the MM update. My wife also has a G4 and her phone seems fine, so hopefully the reset fixes mine.

Ive reset mine and I still have the same issue. Haven't found anything on the web that works, sucks because I like the phone otherwise.

Do you reset the router at all?

I've done that and it looks like the OP has done it too.

I have a Verizon G4 and since the latest update 5ghz wifi has been software limited to 54mbps and 2.4ghz is faster.
