Sluggish after 6.0.1 update?

My 6P ran like butter for the first month and a half, but I noticed in the last week after receiving the 6.0.1 update its been....much less reliable. Sometimes it'll take the phone 3-5 seconds just to turn the screen on, a few seconds to turn the screen off, sometimes 2-3 seconds to register a back/home/multitask button press. Usually navigating home screens is super fast, but sometimes in the last week it will slow to a halt and have so much lag its almost unusable for a good minute. I've had "unfortunately the google app has crashed" several times in the last few days, where as that never happened before (I guess it could be due to a new google app update too?).

I've rebooted a few times, and the only new app I've installed recently is the BB8 sphero app and I really doubt that is weirding out my whole phone....Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

Have you tried clearing your cache via recovery just to see if it helps? So far I am having no lag on the 6.0.1 update but I did the cache wipe right away. I will list how to do this below.

1. Power Down the Nexus 6P
2. Once the Device is Off, Press and Hold the Power Button and Volume Down Button at the Same Time
3. Continue Holding These Two Buttons Until you See the Special Fastboot Mode Screen
4. When You are in Fastboot Mode, You Can Let Go of These Two Buttons
5. Now that you are in Fastboot Mode -- Press the volume Down Button Twice
6. This Should Highlight the ‘Recovery’ Option
7. When ‘Recovery’ is Highlighted, Press the Power Button to Select This Option
8. This Will Take You to a Black Screen with a Green Android Laying Down
9. From Here, Press and Hold the the Power Button, Then Press the Volume Up Button
10. When Done Right, You’ll Immediately be Taken to the Recovery Mode Menu
11. From here you can use the volume up/down button to scroll through the menu and the power button to confirm. You can select to wipe the cache.

Okay I have to bump this back up because the exact same thing is happening again. Google launcher restarting every time I press the home button, phone taking several seconds to unlock/lock, apps like camera randomly crash or have huge lag between button presses, scrolling lags within apps.

I am about to clear the cache again because it worked last time, but....seriously? Is this something I'm going to have to do every 2 weeks or so? What is going on with the phone that is causing this to happen?

This does not sound right. I have been running 6.0.1 since it came out. Flashed it the same night. I'm running all stock and just flashed the Jan security image and all running smooth like butter. My 6.0.1 running even smoother than 6.0

Likewise, my 6P has been running even better since the update.
