I mentioned this in another thread last night but I'm sure many passed by it. As many of you were aware, the VIP Caller Mode on the Gingerbread Smart Actions was useless. It worked as advertised as long as no one not within the VIP mode called. Once a number outside the VIP's called, every call, VIP or not, was put into vibrate or silent.

Fear not, Ice Cream Sandwich is extremely yummy! This no longer happens - you don't need to find a work around with a third party application just to do this any longer! I love it, I set it last night and received many phone calls as I slept in today. Only 1 made it through - my best friend who is on my VIP list. The rest? Vibrate! Thank you Motorola!

Are the rest of the smart actions still dependent on having a WiFi connection?

Nope! That was my biggest irritation and why I didn't use it before.

I have a 'home' one set up that will automatically turn on wifi when my GPS shows me being at home. Smart actions are WAY more useful now.
