The smartlock hasn't been so smart lately. I turned on smartlock to unlock for home and work, but I still find myself needling to use fingerprint to unlock and somtimes use passcode. I've added it a few times too. Whats wiht this " smart lock?"

Android's Smart Lock feature has never been that reliable. It isn't consistent on my Pixel 3 XL. You're not alone.

Oh that's just how it is? wack. haha

As far as I can tell. I've given feedback about this a couple of times to Google, but who knows if they're actually paying attention to the issue.:-\

I have noticed that since the latest Samsung software update, my SMARTLOCK has stopped working with my Fitbit and my locations.

The Only way SMARTLOCK is currently working for me is when I am in my car and my phone is connected via Bluetooth to the Ford Sync.

Personally I think that part of the increased problems with SMARTLOCK have to do with the latest Samsung software update.

Not too big a deal for me, since I just rely on the fingerprint sensor. But sometimes it'd be nice to just double-tap the screen when the phone is on a table and have it ready to go.

Use Bixby Routines. I have a routine setup that when I'm home, my phone stays unlocked. Basically the same thing, just done differently. Works perfectly for me.

It's so maddening. In the span of an hour, it works and doesn't work several times. I even reached out to Samsung and they claimed no one has ever told them of an issue with Smart Lock. I sent them a screen shot of a Google search and that still didn't convince them. So ridiculous. Maybe I will try a Bixby routine as mentioned above.

Smart lock is an Android (Google) feature. Any questions should probably be directed to Google, not Samsung.
