Smart Lock & Trusted Agents Disabled on My Nexus 7 2013

I am running factory Lollipop 5.1 on my Nexus 7 (2013). Ever since a recent upgrade both Trusted Agent and Smart Lock are grayed out (disabled).

How can I enable these items? I want to change a trusted location.

Welcome to Android Central! Try going to Settings>Security and Clear Credentials. If that doesn't help, try wiping the cache partition: http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...e-nexus-7-2012-2013-cache-partition-wipe.html

Many thanks but no joy. Now Smart Lock, Trusted Agents & Clear Credentials are disabled. Is a factory reset in order?

Oops Somehow my Pin Lock got turned off. Once I set it up again everything is enabled. Sorry for the bother.
