Smart stay ex

Actually that App has merged together with this one--> https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ls?id=com.beansoft.eyespy.free&token=4WlORs8v
I got the Paid version as the Dev updates really quick when problems are found so deserves the 2.50$ IMO.
Works well on my GNex.

One less feature exclusive to the SGS3, hehe
Next up...I'd like the App that places a call by putting the phone to my ear while TXT'ing them or being in their Contacts page.

I don't see how this won't use significant additional battery by having not only the camera on all the time but also software running to analyze what it is seeing all the time.

That's what I was afraid of initially but the App has a fair amount of settings to minimize battery consumption that I don't even notice the difference.

I still prefer screebl. I had the smart stay when it was in beta I don't see what's great about it.

I still prefer screebl...

I had the paid version of Screebl about a year ago and it was fine...but then stopped getting updates and hasn't seen one in over 18mos unfortunately.
Both work well as they're intended.

I also used an App called "Screen On" to work for Apps I don't want Screebl (and now Smart Stay) to affect.

I used smart saty for a few days and didn't notice much difference in battery life, stopped using it because I think this feature is just a gimic, it doesnt work that good in the dark

While I suppose it's a pretty cool feature I don't personally see the appeal. Anyone care to explain?

I typically have my screen set to timeout at 15 second but that's not long enough if I'm reading a long Email, TXT, news article or something like that, so using Smart Stay my phone sees I'm looking at it & keeps the screen on until I'm done & I look away.
Simple as that.

Ahh right. Yeah I can see that. I was only thinking about my own usage. I have mine set to be always on unless I turn it off myself. I've never liked software messing with that for me.
