Smart Switch Back up and Restore

Hey Guys

New to android. I have issues with opening email attachments and I was asked to do a back up and do a factory reset to solve the email issues. So I backed up using Smart Switch to my desktop and did the factory reset but once restored my back up, the app placements and app settings did not get restore. "back up my data" option to a google account was not turned on before back up. After all this trouble, the issue with opening email attachments still persists.

Any way to fully restore all apps setttings etc.?

Which app are you using to open the attachement?

I have been using using stock email app and adobe to open pdf attachments. Use to work fine before. Then I tried outlook and google pdf viewer..no luck.. not even word doc, files can been opened.

Smart switch does not backup app settings you need to use a app like Helium.

Helium works well and does restore your apps and settings. You do need to be sure that the Helium output is stored off of you phone before doing and FDR or it will be deleted during the FDR process.
