Smart Switch put 4 icon wide phone home screen on new tablet

Set up new S8tablet from S23 Ultra phone data via Smart Switch. Tablet home screen is now only four icons wide same as phone. Played with all settings I could find on tablet in grid settings etc. How can I get six or eight icon wide on new tablet?

Install a different launcher that handles this, I use nova launcher, which works on all of types of android devices. Setup your screen grid as much or less that you want. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher

Thank you for the suggestion. I installed Nova and being resistant to change I guess I found it to be too much work to rebuild all of my screens. I probably didn't give it a chance. When I set it as my default Home app it put me in another universe. Ha ha. I feel because I was importing everything from a phone to a tablet it imported the phone One UI settings for a phone and not a tablet. I may try to import the Home app from my old tablet. I guess I am babbling now but I hope you can see where I am coming from. I will keep tweaking Nova in the mean time. Thank you so much again for your response.

Download the Goodlock app from the Galaxy store (just "store" on recent builds) and install the Home Up module, this should let you change your grid size.
