Smart Talk Phone Troubles

I bought the Smart Talk LG Rebel LTE from Walmart and have been attempting to play Pokémon Go. Was able to download app and sign in, but then states that it cannot find the GPS from my phone, even though it is turned on. Any suggestions?

Does the phone have service?

Go in to settings>location and on the drop down, pick the one that's high accuracy (not power saver or device only). That helped my device.
