smart wifi toggler - some assistance

anyone using this that can assist?

so i downloaded it, and it turns on and off the wifi when i leave the house and get home, which is what i want. but when i am home, often times when i turn the screen on i see that i am no longer on wifi and it has to reconnect. i want it connected the whole time. how do i do that? earlier it was connected, i put the phone down for less than 5 minutes and it was disconnected when i turned the screen back on.

does that have to do with periodic checking of the signal? i tried to set it to check for a specific time frame but it wouldn't take the times i was putting in. also, how often should it check? and what kind of battery usage would this entail?

Henry, are you using power saver, by chance? There is a setting in there that tells the phone to disconnect from all network connections while screen is off. Could that be it?

nope, no power saver. thanks though.

yea, like just now, i had the phone screen off for like a few minutes, turned it back on and the wifi was disconnected. i have the sleep policy set to keep it on while asleep. i spoke to the person that made the app, so far nothing. i never noticed the wifi disconnecting before i installed it. and i know it is only a toggle, so it shouldn't really disconnect it right? it's not shutting wifi off.

I would definitely uninstall it and see if you get the same behavior. If you do, then you know it's not the problem, and vice-versa.

I was having this same problem until I turned off "Sleep mode" under Power settings. It seems that even if you set "Keep wifi on during sleep" to "Always," it will still sleep the wifi radio if you have "Sleep mode" on. I don't think this is an issue with your wifi toggler app.

So, I too have installed this, and hope to get it working. However, it does not turn on the WiFi when I get home. I'm sure I've missed something in the settings. Can someone help me with this?
