smilies on X different from the ones on my Dinc

I had an DInc. the wife was due for an upgrade, give her the DInc and I got her X. I now notice the smilies like the ones my Dinc and even this forum use ---> do not show up on my X, once dumb little green onces that look like the standard *yawn* seen every where smilies, just in green.

How do i get my android smilies on my X?

i think that is a sense thing. i am sure there is a way to somehow get the droid face smileys on there, but youd likely have to hack into the framework to do it

if you install the leaked 2.2 on the X, it changes the faces

I have the leak and still no smiley faces. Mine still shows as the symbols. This was one of the first things I checked when I downloaded the 2.2 leak.

might work in 2.1 as well, but i didn't use handcent back in those days

thats what i used, handcent and 2.2 and got the little android

since i'm back to stock 2.1, handcent just shows the green faces

I don't think it's a DINC thing. If I remember right, I had the android smileys on my OG Droid.

yea, the droid 1 had the android smiley's (i think that was where the demand for them to be on the forums came from)
