Hi, hope someone here can help me with this:
I have two SIMs in my S7 Edge -
Card 1 is a PAYG sim that I only want to use for calls and texts (although it does support data up to 4G)
Card 2 is a prepaid data-only card (such as you might plug into a tablet) that I, naturally, only want to use for data.
In SIM Card Manager. Card 1 is set up as 2G only, Card 2 is LTE/3G/2G
The problem is, Although my mobile data works fine, I cannot make or receive calls through Card 1 - texts just never send, calls get a message 'not registered on network'. If I go to the Network operators settings screen, Card 1 will not let me select my network (although others are available) card 2 lets me select it fine.
If i switch the card 2G / 4G modes, then calls & texts work fine, but data is obviously restricted to 2G, which is pointless.
The card shouldn't have ot be set to 3G/4G just to make calls and texts surely? There must be some way around this.
Thanks in advance for your help
