SMS Backup and Restore v 10.02.161 on Galaxy S6 backs up only one side of the conversation.

I am sure this has been asked already but I didn't find it. I am using SMS Backup and Restore version 10.02.161 on a Samsung Galaxy S6. It performed a nice backup of my txt messages to my local as well as my Dropbox account but it only backs up the receiving side of the conversation. All the txt messages I send are not included. In other words, only one side of the conversation. Is there a fix or an App that would work correctly?

Open the sms XML file in a text editor, preferably one that can color-code your XML files.

Check the lines for records where type=2
type 2 is "sent".

So, I'll check the file for type 2 is "sent" and then what. Do I delete it, edit it, what?

After we confirm the actual contents of the files, then we can start asking questions about why you think the "sent" messages are missing.
