SMS being delivered to wrong recipient

I was wondering has anybody else had this issue. I'll be typing an SMS to one person and when the message sends, itll send me to an entirely different conversation (sending my SMS to the wrong contact). Also, If I send an SMS at the same time someone sends me one, sometimes mine will go to the wrong person in my contact list. Is there a fix for this yet ? I'm still running 2.2.1 unrooted by the way.

I had that problem a lot on Froyo, running stock SMS program. I rooted and upgraded to the new BAMF w/ sense 3 and GB, and don't have the problem anymore. Before I upgraded I used an app from the market -- I think it was called SMS Pro or something.

I use GoSMS Pro (free) from the market. I have not had this happen, but I have seen the wrong thread be opened which would have resulted in sending to the wrong person if I hadn't caught it.

This happens to me alot with GoSMS Pro paid version, opening up the wrong thread

It's a known bug in Android 2.2 and lower, it should be fixed with later builds of 2.3.x

This happens to me sometimes using go sms pro. I'll click on one thread and a different one opens up.

But since using go sms pro I don't have the sms bug where you type one message to one person and it sends to someone completely different. I recommend using an app like go sms pro.

I also recommend GOSMS....I'm not sure about the free version, but in the paid version, you can select different backgrounds from your photos and set them for each contacts thread...its helped me out in those situations where a different thread has been opened that I didn't select, I see a background and see its not the right person...not that you cant just look at the name...its a cool feature.
