SMS Capacity ??

This is my first message here.
I am using android 5.0.2.
I have a general question.

What is the maximum SMS capacity of android. ?
In other words, how many sms messages can i stored in my phone ?

Make sure to turn off "Delete old messages" in your SMS program settings. Mine defaults to deleting old SMS messages after 200 per conversation and MMS after 20. I have over 6,000 SMS messages on my phone and I'm an old guy that doesn't text much!
