SMS/Contact Issue - Please Help!

Hello all!

I need some help with my Droid! This is involves my SMS messaging. I am running 2.2 and have been for about two months and this recently started happening. When I send a text to either one or multiple recipients, frequently the phone randomly sends the text to another person. Example: If I wanted to send it to A, the phone will randomly send it to B.

Moreover, if it gets through to person A and they respond, sometimes the thread all of a sudden is placed under another contact. So if I were to try to retext person A in that original thread, the thread is now under another contact's name and would now be to that contact.

This is making my SMS practically unusable. Any ideas?

One of my friends co-worker is going through that. He texted someone and got a nasty response back. He sent another text and the person called him. So he called VZW about it. IDK what the outcome was.
