I'd be surprised if this hasn't been covered already in the forums, but I searched and couldn't find anything (though I'm never good at conducting search queries on forums like this, so forgive me if I'm just missing it).
I know how to turn on the delivery reports, and I see the little icon appear next to texts that I send while it's turned on, but I'm a little confused. The icon seems to appear a couple of seconds after I sent it, which I assume is confirming that it has been successfully sent. The icon is a little envelope with a small green lowercase "i" but it doesn't seem to change once the message has been received (as opposed to just being sent).
If I long press on a message right after I send it, and select "View Report" it says "Status: Pending" and if I wait a little while and try again, it will say "Status: Received," so I know that the confirmation is working, but do I really have to long press on each message to see that it was received? Why does the icon not change (and if the icon isn't going to change, why bother having an icon in the first place)? Or am I just missing something...
Any insight into this would be appreciated, I'd love to be able to see a little check mark next to the message once its been received, as most phones show.
