Weird. When strange stuff like this happens, it's worth trying a cache partition wipe, which clears temporary data from the system cache (no important personal data is lost). It might clear up a glitch like this. Follow the instructions here under "Wipe Cache Partition."

Same with when i swipe to the right the accuweather thing is there and i xant get rid of it

Swipe inside the box. Touching the notification of a text message doesn't do anything until you "unlock" it via a swipe. If the phone was already turned on then it won't show that, but the box is indicating that you need to swipe inside to show the text message.

Settings>Lockscreen> but I don't see specifically where, maybe under Favorite Apps. Might need to play around with it.

That's odd. I don't even have that widget on my lockscreen and I haven't even customized mine. What carrier are you on? I'm on Verizon and below is what my lockscreen looks like.

What happens when you hold your finger on the weather app on the lock screen? Does it give you an option to trash it?

When you have your lock screen on instead of swiping down or across say the bottom of the screen to unlock your phone just swipe from side to side and the weather app will appear, on mine with Verizon the weather app and a app launcher show up. Hope that helps

Really? If all else fails, I guess deleting or disabling the weather app in app manager would be another way to go.

Ok, I see it now. I don't swipe it from the clock. I just swipe across the middle/bottom of the screen. I can see how that would get annoying. If you don't swipe it near the clock, or from the clock, then it won't show. Funny how I've never initiated that Weather app before.

Throwing your phone is a bit dramatic. If you click that notification I've experienced one of two things. If you click it sometimes it'll open up the message. If it highlights the box at v the bottom then just swipe to unlock and it'll be at the message
